Fife was founded in 1957. Named after William J. Fife, a prominent Tacoma lawyer, he was once head of the Washington National Guard. Fife covers roughly 5.7 square miles between the Puyallup River and Puget Sound.
Once a small farming town, Fife has become a hub of community, industry, and opportunities. Conveniently located between Seattle-Tacoma International Airport & the Port of Tacoma, it is intersected by I-5 and sits at the edges of Pierce & King Counties.
Dacca Park Sports Complex
Just 1 mile south, the Dacca Park Sports Complex is at 2820 54th Ave E. Sitting in the shadow of Mount Rainier, this well-groomed, scenic sports complex is ideal for softball, baseball, and soccer and hosts a few dozen major tournaments yearly.
Inter-Urban Trail
You can find the nearest trailhead just a few miles east of Commencement Bay Cannabis – Yellow at 1186 Porter Way in Milton. The Inter-urban Trail is one of the most popular multi-use trails in Pierce County. It follows the route of the historic Puget Sound Electric Railway.
The trail stretches approximately 14.5 miles and winds through diverse landscapes, including urban areas, residential neighborhoods, and parks. Along the way, take in beautiful views of the surrounding scenery, including glimpses of Mount Rainier and Puget Sound.

Located at 1522 54th Ave E, you can walk to Poodle Dog from Commencement Bay Cannabis in less than five minutes. Just head west on Pacific Coast Hwy and take a right after 54th Ave E.

Brookville Gardens Community Park
Less than 2 miles south of Commencement Bay Cannabis – Yellow, Brookville Gardens is at 6512 Valley Ave E. A former farm with a natural creek, it was created to honor the history of Fife and restore natural areas. The park is designed to take advantage of the vistas of Mt. Rainier.
